Building an MCP for an AI Engine — Your 6-Week Journey
A free, hands-on cohort for 4th and 5th year Computer Science and Computer Engineering students. In six weeks, you'll go from "what's an MCP?" to a working MCP server, connected to an AI engine like Claude, fully documented, and live on GitHub.
What you'll walk away with
- A real, working MCP server — your own project, your own tools, your own GitHub repository.
- Something you can show in interviews and add to your resume.
- May count toward your graduation Summer Training requirement, based on your university supervisor.
How the program works
- Two live group sessions a week (90 minutes each) — taught online over Zoom.
- Three on-site workshop days across the six weeks — hands-on setup, code review, and Demo Day.
- A weekly 1:1 session with your mentor (30 minutes, scheduled around your week) — to unblock you, review your code, and keep your project moving.
- No GitHub experience needed. We start from zero — creating your first account, your first repository, your first commit.
